This is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible agency directly.

Where to Ask for a Record

Use the office that created or controls the record. The Martin County pages explain the routing in more detail, but these are the key contacts.

Mail: PO Box 308, Williamston, NC 27892

Verify the active number and records custodian
  • For a Martin deputy arrest or a county record, start with the sheriff’s main line and request the public-record custodian.
  • For a Williamston arrest, use Williamston Police, 100 South Haughton Street, Williamston, NC 27892, (252) 792-2124.
  • For a Robersonville arrest, sourced town material lists 109 South Main Street, PO Box 487, Robersonville, NC 27871, (252) 508-0311. Confirm before use because other directories conflict.
  • For Jamesville, town minutes describe county coverage, so begin with the Martin sheriff rather than an unverified town police office.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction public locator and records route.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP or ICE locator, not the county jail.

What Each Source Answers

The regional jail can address current custody or a recent booking if its procedure allows. The arresting agency handles its report and may hold a releasable photograph. The Martin Clerk of Superior Court, at (252) 809-5100, handles court-side direction, while Martin magistrates are listed at (252) 809-5119. Court records show hearings and disposition, not necessarily current jail status.

For a state record, NCDAC lists 214 West Jones Street, Raleigh, NC 27603, mail at 5201 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-5201, and (919) 733-2126. The home page links the NCDAC search and federal sources.

Before Sending a Request

Include the person’s name, a narrow date range, the city or agency, the record type, and a preferred format. Ask for a fee estimate and the statutory basis for any withheld portion. No Martin booking-photo fee sheet or fixed response time was found. For the complete path, use the Martin County booking records page.
